Initial pressure is applied by sliding the moving head along the bar.
Final pressure can be incrementally applied by pushing on the power bar.
The gear mechanism locks the clamp into place and allows the incremental pressure to be applied.
The gear designed mechanism prevents the clamping pressure from backing off and allows the clamp pressure to be vibration resistant.
